Throw big with Anas Rifi-Zinati — September 11-12

€420.00

Multi-Part Throwing: building large forms

In this course, you will learn how to build pieces in two or more sections and join them together with safety and precision.

Anas will teach you how to throw each section separately, control the thickness and moisture of the clay, and create clean, durable joins so that your pieces maintain their shape, balance, and harmony.

We will work on assembly, fitting, and finishing techniques to create vases, sculptures, and large-scale forms that would not be possible to make as a single piece.

This course is ideal for people with previous wheel-throwing experience who want to take a technical step forward in their practice.

Your teacher, Anas Rifi-Zinati, will guide you step by step, offering individual attention and the kind of nuanced feedback that accelerates real progress. This is a unique opportunity to fully immerse yourself and push your limits with the support of an experienced guide.

What’s included:
✺ 12 h of throwing on the wheel
✺ Clay and all materials
✺ Lunch included
✺ Water, drinks and snacks throughout the day
Select 2 pieces that we will bisque fire for you, with the possibility to keep more pieces at an additional cost

The course takes place on Friday 11.09 and Saturday 12.09, 11-18h, with a 1h lunch break.

Your pieces will be ready to be picked up during our opening hours ca. 4-6 weeks after the course.

The price of the workshop includes all material and firing fees. All classes are taught in English. This course is an intermediate workshop — a basic understanding of working on the wheel is expected (fundamentals of centering, pulling walls etc.) but you don’t need to be a pro to join :)

Aprons are available, but please wear suitable clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting covered in clay.
